Abnormal uterine bleeding is a condition in which a woman experiences heavy or irregular periods, bleeding between periods, heavy period or after sex. This can be a frustrating and painful experience, and can have a significant impact on a woman’s quality of life.

There are many potential causes of abnormal uterine bleeding, including hormonal imbalances, structural problems in the uterus, and the presence of uterine fibroids or endometrial polyps. In some cases, the cause of the bleeding is unknown.
